sick of snow!

Sorry I haven't posted in ages but I had the dreaded FLU! It was awful. I still have hardly any energy but I am going up to the barn to get Secret out before he goes completely mad!

Winter is not my friends these days. Yes it has been magical outside, yes it looks like I live in Narina but 51 cms of new snow in one go is too much!!! I am ready for spring, my body is longing for some green and sun. So to accompany these delightful snow photos are some of the farm in greener days to cheer me up.

Last week I was at the tack shop looking to buy a safety vest. I was going to buy a Tipperary but while taking to the girls I was informed that they did not meet ASTM standards and were not SEI Certified but the Flex Rider and Charles Owen brands were. I tried those on but they are incredibly bulky and heavy but I figure if I am wearing it for safety why get one that may not even provide much protection. Have you guys heard anything about which vest is the best one? I have been trying to look at photos of pro event riders and have noticed they are not wearing Tipperary so makes me think they must know something we don’t…since everyone these days owns Tipperary. Any advice would be helpful since they are quite a bit of money and I don’t want to have to buy another. Here is a photo of the Flex Rider which I am thinking about.
